Upgrade

I’ve been with Verizon and have had an iPhone 12 Pro Max for 4 years now. Occasionally, I’ve gotten behind on my bill but have always caught back up. I’ve never had my service disconnected. This phone has finally about had it so I’ve been trying to upgrade for a few months now. Verizon tells me that because of my credit, I’ll have to pay the full retail price on a phone when getting an upgrade instead of monthly installments. They have the promotions set up to where even long term customers have to be credit checked every time they upgrade or anything. Is this not pathetic? Instead of appreciating my loyalty and thanking me for all of the money I’ve given them over 4 years, they’re basically telling me they don’t care about me or my loyalty. They don’t care that I paid this phone, another phone, a tablet, and a smartwatch off and pay my bill every month. They just question whether or not I can make monthly payments for a new phone. Why would they question that with my loyalty?
