i bought a phone with verizon in august 2022 over the phone and a customer service agent made me 2 accounts because 1 was giving us an issue so she decided let’s make another and assured me that 1 account will be closed (both accounts had my social on it and she also assured me my social was removed from one) but that was a lie. she left the account opened and i was charged the sales tax fee of 77 dollars twice for. one for the phone and account i have no and the other for the closed account and i never received the money back for the 2nd account. i’ve called numerous times to get the account deleted and was told it was by many reps but has never deleted. fast forward today 06/05/2023 i have a collection of 77 on my account from verizon that i do not owe and they keep telling they removed but is still there. each time i call i get talked in circles and they try to convince me to pay what i do not owe. i refuse to. how can i have a collections for verizon on my credit and yet still have a verizon account open with my information that i use daily ? verizon do better and fix this issue now. i have called numerous times and keep getting told to resolve it with the debt collectors and the collectors are telling me to deal resolve it with verizon. verizon you are entitled to fix this problem. or i will reach out to the cfpb
