messed up my credit/trying to buy a house

We have been with Verizon for 5 plus years - we switched over our personal accounts to business accounts and switched over to autopay. We had a remaining balance of $102.44. My husband honestly made a mistake and did not pay it even though we have never had this problem or issue ever before. We are currently still verizon customers.
When we contacted CBE to make the payment they said to contact Verizon and they will remove this off my credit report and it was on a recorded call!!!!!!!!!!!! All lies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My credit report score dropped 150 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are trying to purchase a house and we need someone to help with this situation ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to report Verizon and CBE to BBB - i just want this removed so we can purchase a house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
