on my credit report, and I don't even have Verizon

falselyaccused

I'm only aware of it from a notification of new activity, so pulled my credit report and Verizon just reported me for never making a payment on a $1084 purchase in November.  Thing is,  I'm still rocking an iPhone X has been on autopay with AT&T for years, am single and live alone...only have/need the one line.   No purchase was made from Verizon, and I seriously doubt it's associated with my name or address since I've never received anything in the mail.  I'm guessing maybe a typo in the SS number or something?   However, the credit report only gives a partial account number.  If I don't have the full account number and it's not in my name who can I call at Verizon that would be able to access information on it?

While you've not been with us, for sure I want you to be able to get help with the situation. Having a credit report impacted is terrible, and knowing some issues my brothers went through sorting out an error with theirs, I don't want you to have similar trouble. If you believe there was a fradulant purchase or account set up under your name, then you'll want to file a claim with our Fraud Team. I've got a link to where you can do here: https://www.verizon.com/about/account-security/file-a-fraud-claim

Well, it turns out  Verizon could access with only my SS, but automated system would only provide the outside collection agency info.  They were able to pull it up and confirmed someone opened 8 lines in my name, with an address where I haven't lived in about ten years, and also the web address to file the fraud claim.  To do that Verizon requires me to upload a police report, which has been filed by phone but won't be available to obtain a copy for a few days.
