A continuation of my saga from the previous thread

Last week, on the 21st, my telephone number stopped working. No dial tone, and also inboudn calls get routed to a "cannot be completed as dialed" recording. 

I call verizon and they said that they will check the issue and get back to me.

After checking, they said that there was a "residual" ticket in the system from the previous order, and that my my number has been "cancelled". Tried to explain to him that the number worked for 3 weeks perfectly fine, and that i didnt create any additional requests during that time. He said that the ticket was from mid October!!!??!!

Apparantly my phone number was "given back" to whomever owns the number, Verizon Business in this case, and that now my phone number is in JEOPARDY of being purged and lost forever.
