With any kind of call forwarding like simutlaneous ring or forward after 4 rings turned on my Verizon landline a message in english "stay on the line while we locate ..." is announced which is troublne and confusing to international callers prompting them to assume the call is invalid and hang up. Can't believe Verizon is acting so provincial in a now universal world.
If you're using Simultaneous Ring you must have FiOS. You may wish to login to your account at verizon.com and make sure "Locate Me" has not been activated.
Simultaneous Ring and Call Forwarding do not present messages though callers may hear a half ring as the call transfers.
