Recently had a new set-top box installed and the router was moved to another room. Now I no longer get caller id on my TV. Verizon customer service want to send a technician to my home for $99.00. You would think It would be free since they did the install and moving of the router.🙄

Out of curiosity, I made a test call to my landline while watching the television. I did not see the Caller ID information flash on the screen.

I went into the STB's Settings menu and found that the option to show the Caller ID information had been returned to "OFF".

I re-enabled the feature and made another test call. Everything looked good. My guess is that the STBs underwent an update which reset that particular setting back to the factory default of "OFF". ðŸ¤”

When a new STB is installed (or an existing one is defaulted) the process of activating the Caller ID feature needs to be repeated.

Did the technician enable the feature when installing the new STB?

If not, try enabling it and see if that makes any difference. 🤔
