DOWNED PHONE LINE IN MY DRIVEWAY

I BEGAN ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT VERIZON HOURS AGO.  WE HAVE A PHONE/INTERNET/CABLE LINE DOWN IN OUR DRIVEWAY AND ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE STREET.  I WAS ON HOLD FOR NEARLY 1 1/2 HOURS THIS MORNING.  I DROVE SOMEWHERE SO I COULD ACCESS INTERNET IN ORDER TO OPEN A REPAIR TICKET.  ACCORDING TO THE WEBSITE, THE EARLIEST A TECH PERSON CAN GET OUT TO WORK ON THIS IS MARCH 14TH.   I AM ALSO ON MY SECOND ATTEMPT TO SPEAK TO A LIVE OPERATOR TO NO AVAIL.  WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET THIS LINE DOWN SO IT IS NOT A HAZARD TO MY WHOLE TOWN AND TO GET SERVICE RESTORED TO MY HOUSE.  IF THE EARLIEST DATE IS MARCH 14TH, I WILL CONTACT XFINITY.  PLEASE ADVISE, AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A LIVE PERSON TO DISCUSS A DOWNED WIRE.
