Digital voice service keeps going down.

Have been fios customer for less than 1 month and already had to call customer service twice cause had no dial tone or incoming/outgoing calls. While  issue was fixed successfully both times by them restarting something remotely and recycling ip address, I am loosing confidence in reliability of the phone service. Internet was working both the times so I am not sure what exactly is being recycled  

isn't phone service suppose to be more reliable than this? Or is my expectation too high ?

Have other folks who use digital voice seen similar issues where you loose dial tone unexpectedly and have to get them to "recycle"?
