We are trying to go from having a triple play to just a phone line, keeping our current phone number. Verizon says we can't keep an unbundled phone line?! Has anyone else had this issue? I don't understand why I can't drop the internet and cable and just keep my phone????

Verizon has to provide unbundled phone. Otherwise it is a violation of some regulations put in place by the government.
Complain to the PUC if they won't budge.

do you have contract?, if not, call again and again until you get what you want, some orporator may be he do not know or how to do, may be you can talk to manager.

if you can't get satisfaction on telephone, maybe you can at the dslreports website , where there is an actual forum monitored by real live verizon employees, waiting to help........i know, i know, you're asking "why isn't there a forum here with real live employees, waiting to help?".....hmmmmmm.....
