What in the world is going on at Verizon?
I tried your silly online “help” to get support for my home phone service and all it does is try to point the problem to my equipment. Come on! Believe it or not, your customers are not stupid and if we try to contact your for help we don’t need to be treated like **bleep**.
Then when I decided to call customer service, you still tried to state it was my equipment and treated me like an idiot. I OF COURSE disconnected everything and plugged in my non-electric phone only and still had no DIAL TONE!!!!
And the final straw was when your agent told me to “GO OUTSIDE” and plug in to my “box” outside!!! Are you kidding me??? So you are telling me that anyone who wants to, has access to my phone service from outside – that’s insane! Plus here it is storming at my house and this person on the phone wants me to go outside and plug a phone in the box while it is raining!!!!
Horrible, horrible, customer service!!! Verizon should be ashamed at your customer service.
And, do you seriously want us to believe that Customer Service has NO EMAIL ADDRESS? Wow - you need to give your customers a little more credit.
Time for me to look for another phone company who WANTS my business.

They don't care and my only alternative would be to switch to Comcast. Fortunately I haven't had a situation like yours in a long time but be prepared to go through numerous phone calls and be very persistent. Even if they promise to send someone to your house, find out anyway if you still have to be home or not for that. It stinks.

Greetings,
Today, July 27, 2015, in California, I received in the mail a letter from Verizon, it is selling off the land line and long distance service to Frontier Communications.

Cooper lines are 100 year old technology and Verizon, AT&T, and all of the carries can’t wait to abandon you.
It’s that simple.
Note: it was mailed AFTER 2 of 4 public comment scheduled meetings.
I’m Frontier will give you the same great service you have received from Verizon.
