I live in a rual area near Temecula, CA. I bought my home in 2003, and was told by the Verizon Rep that DSL should be arriving in my area in the next year. Needless to say, I still do not have DSL even though the communities near by, Temecula, Murrieta and Hemet have been upgraded to FiOs in the last two year. I have been unable to accept job offers because I cannot get DSL access. Would be so nice to be able to work from home.
Also, I have been having a continued problem with just the phone service. Everytime it rains I get very bad connection or loose service all together. We have been told by several service techs that have been out to eval our problem, that the main trunk near us is bad. A request by a service techs since 1998 have put in a request for replacement, but all have been ignored or denied. This is really really bad, since the mean age of the people living in the area is over 70. Today, we have had rain for the third day in a row. Have no phone serive. The roads are almost unpassable, and now have now phone service.
Has anyone else had this problem? Were you able to resolve the isssue?
