Home Verizon Fios reps....

Yesterday I went on Verizon's website & spoke to a representative thru messaging about my bill...I had quite a few late fees and was requesting if any of them could be removed (I'm new to Verizon so I didn't know this is virtually impossible). The rep told to me he would ask etc.etc. When he came back on his message was "while we are taking care of the late fees and adjusting your bill may I ask what cell phone provider you are using?" This implies that the late fees are being removed, and since every $  counts these days I answered. He then casually said he would see if there were any promotions going on that I would be interested in...I say ok, I'm really not looking to change but since we are here no problem and that  Im not able to put anything down or pay more than I already am for me & my husband's line.  Still waiting on my bill tho because as he said it was being "adjusted." He sends me an email for a soft credit check and I fill it out. He casually tells me I would be approved for 2-free iPhone 14 with no deposit and gives an estimate of my monthly bill. I was pretty excited bc I have a free metro phone.  He even has me pick 2 colors, then he says to wait again & reassures me that my original issue is still being handled...he comes back some time later and says I only qualify for 1 and would need a deposit for the second. I told him I couldn't at this time and he gets real PUSHY....."should I go ahead with the 1 phone and you use your existing phone for the second...." NO. "should I go ahead with the 2 phones and a deposit..." NO. "I'm missing out on this deal and it won't be offered again...." NO . He says ok, can I help with anything else? I said yes, my original problem. He replies "the late fees are valid and we can't remove any" and "I can set up a payment plan but it won't affect my service interuption" and SIGNS OFF.

I was on this chat for 45  minutes to an hour!!!!!  I can't believe Verizon uses these sales tactics!!!!
