How do I find out the duration of calls made and received?

Depends. 

if you have standard telephone service, you can only see calls made TO you.   you can't see calls that you guys have made. 

You have to sign up and activate the verizon call assistant.   

if you have fios enhanced voice product called fios digital voice, then you can view both incoming and outgoing.
