Landline bill was misquoted by account specialists, and below is the proof. Honor your quote.

I recently had to downgrade my Verizon long-distance landline plan from $40 due to some family financial issues. I spoke with 3 representatives via Verizon chat who promised that, with all fees and taxes, my monthly bill would be right about $20. Last month, the bill was about $24, and this month my bill is going to be $27. I contacted customer service again on 3/26 to find out what happened, and the agent (Deborah) simply repeatedly told me that that "is what Verizon charges" and made no attempt to look into the issue that I kept this line because it fit within an extremely tight budget at $20.

$7 extra a month doesn't seem like a lot until you're scraping for funds to care for someone with a slow illness.

I really would feel more comfortable knowing I have a clear landline to 911.

We live in a very rural area and do not have cell reception.

Verizon, please tell me that you can honor the original $20 cost quote shown below.

What follows here are the customer service chat ID numbers, and 2 conversations that quoted the $20 monthly cost.

Thank You

Sorry you are having difficulty, an agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information to help you resolve your issue. Please remember to check your spam/junk folder if you do not hear from an agent.
