How do I go about canceling long distance service to remove the ridiculous
$10 lack of use charge?

Just call 1-800-VERIZON to cancel long distance service.

I just called, and was told I can't remove it, what is going on?
I'm really upset now, I'm paying for something I don't use and can't cancel.......
Has anyone else had this problem?

call again until you get what you want, some orperator may be he do not know or understand, if you are still problem, request to talk to super.

I called today to get long distance removed. They had me on hold for a few minutes then it was done. Since we make LD calls with our cell phone this was a charge not necessary on the bill. I would call again and talk to someone else.
