No dial tone

Hello! Two days ago my phone service was shut off (Didn't pay the bill). Since that time I have had no dial tone. I paid the bill this morning and I still do not have a dial tone. I had Verizon check the phone line through the Verizon website, they say that it's a problem with their internal network or something, but they did not advise me to have a technician come over. So Verizon, is there anything I can do other than sit here without a landline or internet?
