I had a second phone line which has been disconnected and I wish to use that phone jack for the 1st phone line. Does anyone know how I can rewire the phone jack so I can do this? I have the Fios telephone line.

If you open the jack, you'll probably find that they reverse the Red/Green and Yellow/Black pairs (or Blue/White and Orange/White if you have newer cable). Flipping them back should do the trick ... open another jack which is providing line #1 dial tone and you can see exactly the order the jack should be wired.

Optionally, you might be able to get a two-line phone splitter (typically has a plug on one side and three jacks on the other -- L1, L2, and L1+L2) for about $3 at the local Home Depot -- plugging this in will split out each line (in your case, lines 1 and 2 would be reversed from the labels, but you get the idea).
