Trying to get phone line repaired!

Hi there,

My elderly (87 y.o.) mom has landline service and her phone has been out for a week.  She gets a constant buzzing noise and she can't make or receive calls.  Meanwhile I've been calling Verizon in an attempt to get it repaired and they keep saying they'll be there Tuesday. Then Wednesday.  Thursday comes and nothing.  Finally I get a call from a technician saying it's a cabling issue and someone will be out to fix it tomorrow (Friday).  Here it is Friday evening and STILL the phone is not working.

What must I do to get service fixed?  There is no fiber optic service there and she has a life line that she needs to be able to use.  I have heard stories of how Verizon will lie and say someone will be out to fix it and then nothing happens.  I am 5 hours away.  Must I drive down to your offices and drag someone out there?  PLEASE HELP!

Hi Wuvmy3kitties,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and scroll down the page to an area titled "My Support Cases." You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name located above your post, or at the top right of this page.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, you may subscribe to the case. At the top right of your support case there is a gear icon which provides a drop down menu with support case options. Click that and choose "subscribe." Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
