I also have verizon wireless so i am trying to sign up through that account to get the home and mobile discount. However, when i select keep my landline number it says number unavailable. This is my number through verizon i am trying to keep why is it not allowing me? Thanks for your help.

Have you asked Verizon or just tried online? It would so up as unavailable since you already have it in use. Ask them if the number can be ported from your current service to fios

Back in 2008 when I signed up for Verizon Fios, I had no problems moving my Verizon landline from legacy copper to the Fios platform.
If Fios is available for your location, my suggestion would be to contact a Verizon Sales representative and have the rep place the order for you. 🙂
