This is more of a technical inquiry from a review of the phone call breakout of my monthly bill. There were twelve calls recorded from my billing number (fax # {edited for privacy}) to an unknown number ({edited for privacy}; Annapolis, MD). All calls were approximately 1 minute in duration to the same number from period between 7/11/2013 - 8/9/2013. My RJ11 telephone cable was not installed until 12 August. The only time this line was ever in use was on 12 August during the printer/fax setup for testing dial tone for my new fax phone line. There were not charges associated with these 1-minute phone calls. My question to the general forum is this: Are these calls merely automated test tones generated through the FiOS network for testing connectivity of the new phone line? If this isn't the case, then I will need to contact the Fraud Department to initiate a fraudulent calls report. Really looking for answers to this issue. Please advise. Thanx. ........... hlfjr 🙂
