I've been receiving this message all day (from 11a.m - 7:15 pm) when trying to dial a Verizon landline number in the 781-963 area of MA. Any idea of the cause or when it will be resolved? I receive the same message when dialing from my Verizon landline, or my AT&T mobile phone. The number belongs to an elderly relative, and it's concerning that the call won't go through.

Have you contacted Verizon and asked them to test the line?

Finally contacted Verizon to check the line. They can't get anyone out there until tomorrow.
