Has anyone successfully used the old g1100 as a coax extender?

 Pwattas,

 

You can try it. I doubt it will work since their chipsets' firmwares are conflicted. You can go to LAN Coax Stats on both devices and see what is going on.

 

You might need a third MoCA 2.5 device in the network to act as a dedicated Network Coordinator to get them to talk to each other.
