I was able to change my IP address previously by logging in to https://192.168.1.1/ and releasing and renewing the DHCP lease but it no longer works. Why is that? And how else can I change my IP address if needed?
I don't see a necessity of changing your IP address unless you are trying to defy services (legitimate or malicious) on the Internet that have identified you based on your IP address.
One way to change your IP address is to contact support and explain to the agent what prompts the need of changing IP address.
