FIOS Quantum Gateway Router keeps dropping all wireless clients on 2.4 Ghz

I just upgraded to 100/100 service and got the new gateway router.  Every couple of days the 2.4 Ghz  wireless stops working, and when I log into the router it shows all devices as inactive.  When I try to re-add them it says the password is invalid.  I am entering the password exactly as it shows up in the router configuration page.   I have to change the password for that network in order for the devices to connect again.  This corrects the issue for a couple of days but then it re-occurs.  Is my router defective?   The 5 Ghz network is unaffected.

What firmware version is your router running? Is 2.4Ghz set to Auto Channel or is it manually configured?

Thanks for the reply.

The firmware version is 02.00.01.08 and it is currently set to auto channel.

Firmware version is correct. Try locking the router to Channel 1 (or 6 or 11 - but I suggest 1 to be safe) instead of Auto Channel. See if that helps.

Thanks.

I'll give that a try and report the results.
