I've had fios now for 6 days, and it's already had one half-day outage and possibly another lasting all afternoon and overnight. Verizon urges its unlucky customers to use the internet when one cannot connect to the internet, and doesn't seem to appreciate the inherent discrepancy in that advice.
So: is there a text address to which one can send an outage report and request for help? Sending a text message is much less crazy-making than sitting on hold for hours because of the "higher than normal call volume" that has persisted for (literally) years without solution.
