I followed the steps given here to configure my G3100 router as extender until the point where I am able to access the GUI using its newly assigned IP.

I then connected the G3100 router with my main router. I still see on my original router's page, the newly added devise is coming a router and it does not show up in the sytem status.
When I am accss G3100 router using its IP address, it says "Diconnected".

Disconnected means the WAN interface is disconnected which is expected if you only using G3100's LAN switch. This does interfere with the intended operations of a router bridged into an existing network.
