I have 2 comps running hardwired thru router and don't use any wireless. My main problem is running 2 comps at same time to the same mmo game, one begins in sync then slowly fades away to a 3 minute delay from sync in game. Any suggestions Tech savvy gurus?? Running XP sp3 on both comps.

Turning the wireless on an off is both easy and straight forward

1. Connect to the router (http://192.168.1.1 )

2). Login in to the router as administrator

3). select Wireless

4). Select Basic Security

5). Click on the  OFF button next to the wireless at the top of the page

6). Click on apply at the bottom of the page, and your wireless signal should be turned off.

To access the router type 192.168.1.1 in a browser window and hit enter... You will be prompted for a username and a password.

The default login informtation for the router is
username : admin
password : password

Sometimes the Field Tech will access the router during installation, and change it to
username : admin
password : password1

If neither work, then you would have to reset the router with a paperclip or pen in the reset hole on the back of the router for 15 seconds, and it will revert to defaults of
username : admin
password : password

DISREGARD the amount of dots in the password field.. it is a security measure and has no bearing on what you ACTUALLY type in that field

type normal and the actual password will be input normal REGARDLESS of the amount of dots
