ONT Ethernet to Router Help

Hi all,
I moved into my house last year and have a Gig connection. Couldn’t help but notice none of my hard-wired devices ever peaked past 250 mbps but when using Verizon’s Speedtest I’m getting 900 up and down to the ONT presumably.
My ONT in the garage has an ethernet port but the green cat6 cable that goes to this weird multi jack that twists into a grey cat6 cable about 25 feet through the wall and into the router. I’m suspecting the long cat6 is giving me problems as I’ve noticed a 90 degree bend along the wire.
This is probably a dumb question but I haven’t seen the answer anywhere - but If I replaced the whole thing with a cat6 cable directly from the ONT to the router should that be ok? I assume it would be. I’ve attached a picture for reference
Thanks in advanced.

Yes. You can replace green piece and gray cable with a new cable. You can connect directly to the ONT without the green connector.
