ONT Issue?

Been having constant issues since I started using Fios gigabit.  For months it was an issue with my download speeds being capped at 40-50 Mbps and a replacement router didn't fix anything.  The day before a tech appointment I received a notification that something was "fixed" and it should all be better now.  My speeds are reliably above 900 Mbps, however I am now suffering from "micro disconnects".  Everything will be working fine then for a few seconds I will lose all internet connectivity, and then it will immediately start working again a few seconds later.  This is all over a CAT 6 connection.  I will be replacing the ethernet line running from the ONT to the router to see if that helps resolve anything, but if not I am of the opinion that it must be an issue with the ONT or somewhere between the ONT and the CO.  Does anyone have any advice?

Did you receive IPv6 recently?

Are you connected via Ethernet to the router?

Yes, my primary connection is Ethernet over a CAT-6 line, however I also have WiFi connections that experience the same issues.  I am unsure about the IPv6, I haven't done anything in regards to this so it shouldn't have changed. Also my connection speed has once again dropped down to 80 Mbps. I'm starting to believe the best solution is to get a different ISP unless a tech visit is able to discover something.

If Fios television and/or telephone services are also active, do they experience the same disruptions as the Internet service? 🤔

Unfortunately I only have the internet service and am unable to check if other services would be affected.

If the router is one that is supported by Verizon (G1100, G3100...etc), Verizon is able to access the various logs to see what, if any errors that it is seeing. Likewise, Customer Support can check for error reports stored in the ONT.

If the ONT and/or router are close by, do either or both show any alarm or error lights when service is interrupted? 🤔

It is the Verizon Fios router that was provided for our gigabit service. The most online help has ever done is reset the router, which occasionally fixes the low speeds but only temporarily. I have never seen any error lights on the ONT or the Router, it all appears to be operating normally it just isn't providing the full bandwidth and frequently has disconnects. I was finally able to schedule a tech visit for tomorrow so hopefully I will have more details then
