I recently noticed a collections notice on my credit report from Verizon. I found that strange due to the fact I canceled my services with them for a while and I honestly thought I was all paid up with them. I immediately logged into my Verizon account and did not have any outstanding payments. STRANGE. I contacted Verizon and spoke with 8 different people over 3 hours and all of them telling me I'm in the wrong department and they will transfer to the right one. All of them failed. The number I was given many times was 1-800-837-4966. I have no issues paying what I owe, given that I am unable to contact anyone in Verizon that can help me, I don't know what to do. I don't have a Verizon phone number, the robot on the phone does not recognize my social security number or Verizon account number. What am I supposed to do? I really like Verizon services however they make it very difficult to contact someone that I can make a payment to and clear up the collections notice on my credit report. Has anyone had this experience and have a solution they can share. I would much appreciate it and thanks in advance.
