Hello Community,
I have a small home network. I have one "old" nas running Open Media Vault, A Proxmox server and my primary workstation running Linux Mint 21.1. Plus some wireless devices. I am having issues configuring ipv6 to work over my network and globally. However, I keep getting "Network Unreachable" . How should ipv6 work out of the box? I realize I have provided no details, so if you wish to help I can provide my configuration.
Tx.

Out of the box, it depends on the router. If you need to configure IPv6 on the router connected to the ONT, use IPv6 Stateless autoconfiguration, DHCP-PD (Prefix Delegation) and request a /56 for your network. Assign a /64 to your primary LAN and one /64 per VLAN you want IPv6 to operate on. From there your devices should be able to use IPv6, as long as it's available and working in your area.
Important note: Static IP accounts won't get IPv6 right now.
