verizon keeps changing my server location from mass and r.i. and back all the time.
how can i have it just stay in mass?

First, Verizon has nothing to do with the "location" of an IP address. There are many third-party geolocation databases that do their best to correlate location and IP address, then provide services to companies that will, for example, direct you to a local store when you browse their website. Since there are multiple companies that do IP address geolocation (I know of at least five), it's not impossible for one company's database to say an IP address is in one location, while another company's database says it's somewhere else. There's nothing Verizon can do about that. Usually these things fix themselves over time, though dynamic addresses can make it harder.
Second, as mentioned in the previous reply, Verizon only provides static IP addresses to business service customers. So you could be paying significantly more for your service than you likely are now if you REALLY want a static IP address.
The best way to keep your IP address from changing is to keep your router powered on and connected as much as possible. Sometimes simply rebooting your router can cause the address to change... other times just leaving it off for a couple of hours can cause it to change. My router has been online for over 2 months and my address hasn't changed during that time.
I may try a separate router just for my tvs with a vpn problem is that it keeps switching between boston and providence
