eGift cannot be viewed at this time

I redeemed a $50 Home Depot gift card from my Verizon rewards and it said that it will be in my email in the next 1-2 days. When I received the email, it told me to click the url to "Redeem eGift" and follow the onscreen instructions. However,  clicked on the link and all I see is "Your eGift cannot be viewed at this time. We are unable to display your eGift at this time." What am I supposed to do? Did I lose my eGift?
