When I first moved to the Lewistown, PA area my 3mbps service was exactly that. It was pretty consistently 2.2-3mbps down / 768mbps up on most speed tests.
I replaced my DSL Modem and Netgear Router with a new Westell 7500 Wireless DSL Modem Router from Verizon. The speed is unchanged.
I dread the thought of calling Verizon Tech Support. Any recommendations on who to call within Verizon or am I stuck with good old tech support?
I am in a PPPoE area.

#2 In your router go to Wireless Settings.
a) Is wireless enabled?
b) Is any security applied (Like WEP/WPA)?
