When I use my iPhone in a different room less close to the router, I find the speed drops from fast triple digits to slow 2 digits. But if I disconnect from the network briefly and reconnect, the speed goes up to triple digits. My impression is the self-organizing network lowers my speed at more distance but will reconnect at a higher speed. Is there a manual setting e.g.static ip or continuous 2.4 G that would fix this?
