I have an Actiontec MI424WR and it has both the WAN ethernet and WAN coax connected. Both cables come from the ONT. The coax goes to a splitter. One branch goes to the MI414WR WAN coax connector. The other branch is the house cable. The ethernet cable also comes from the ONT. The Ethernet WAN status light is on. The Coax WAN light is off.
This was set up by the Version FiOS installer about 8 years ago.
I getting a new G1100 router and the manual says to connect EITHER the coax or ethernet to the appropriate ethernet WAN or coax WAN connectors. I'm inclined to connect both cables just like it is on the MI414WR.
How should the G1100 be connected?

It sounds like your Internet is via ethernet.
Do you have TV service with Veizon STBs?
If so, you would need both connected.
Otherwise, try ethernet only and see what you get.

I do have a FiOS DVR. I also have a TiVo Mini using MOCA.
Thanks, I'll connect both just like the Actiontec was.
