My G3100's wifi is dead, seems like a hardware issue, everything else works including internet via Ethernet.
Would like to avoid replacing the G3100, but get wifi back by connecting a second router to ethernet port and using the second router to broadcast WIFI. Can this be done? how to set up?

This can be done. Configuration would be concentrated on the second router, which depends on which router you have decided to buy.
