I hope someone can answer this question. Calling Verizon Customer Service was just about worthless.
After the latest increase in my bill, I carefully reviewed the billing statement and found that I am being charged 2 local surcharges for locations the I do not live. I reside in Sandoval county, New Mexico and pay a Sandoval County Surcharge which I understand. I am also paying a surcharge for Santa Fe City and Santa Fe County. I do not live in Santa Fe City or county but have been paying those surcharges for 8 years. Customer Service Chat could not explain why I pay these local surcharges and kept repeating the copy paste explanation related to federal surcharges.
Should I be paying these additional surcharges? How do I get them removed and get a credit?
Thanks
