Yes, that is correct...at least with the legacy 4100 series STBs. The 4100 VMS has six tuners. one tuner is for the television connected to the VMS. Another is used for the internal DVR. That leaves support for four mini  STBs. To go above that, Verizon would need to supply another VMS.

To connect a sixth television to your Fios One box, you have a few options. You can either purchase an additional FIOS mini or use an Ethernet connection.

If you choose to use an Ethernet connection, you will need to buy an Ethernet cable and connect it from your Fios One box to your television. This option may require you to purchase an adapter or a converter if your television does not have an Ethernet port.

Another option is to purchase an additional Fios mini. This device can be connected to your Fios One box via coaxial cable and will allow you to watch different channels on multiple televisions. However, keep in mind that Fios may charge an additional fee for each extra Fios mini device.

It's important to note that the specific steps and requirements may vary depending on your equipment and service plan. Therefore, it is always a good idea to consult with Verizon or refer to their support resources for the most up-to-date and accurate information.

I am generally confused on this. Are you adding a 6th TV that will display whatever the first 5 TVs are displaying? If so, if screen duplication is all you need, you could buy a cheap HDMI splitter off Ebay and just mirror as many as you want.

But, more likely than not, you are likely asking for having a TV-terminal box setup where you would like to browse the channels and having different TVs showing different channels. I do believe there is a limit on how many Fios One Minis you could get. Fios One Main box does the audio-video conversation then multicast to Fios One Minis. Fios One Minis could be connected to the LAN through wireless, wired, and Coax (?) Given the limited processor power, 1 Fios One Main box would indeed limit on how many Minis you could have.

If you need more than 5 minis, then you might need to have a second Fios line, meaning a second account, with a separate billing account, etc. I would need others to chime in on this. @dexman help me...

So it is not really the user needs a second Fios line for +$100 a month, but a second VMS for probably +$12 a month on the bill. That VMS4100 got 6 tuners? Jesus...
