Hi,
I am new to Fios and I'm using my own router (TP-Link AC1750). The pinned post is helpful, but it doesn't cover my specific situation: I don't have a Verizon router to start with.
I am renting an apartment, and the ONT was already here before I moved in. There are both Coax and Ethernet cables plugged into the ONT. When I connect the Ethernet cable from the ONT to my laptop, my laptop doesn't have internet access. In fact, it doesn't even recognize that an Ethernet cable is plugged in.
When I use my own Ethernet cable, this doesn't fix the problem, so I know it's not a bad cable.
When I connect Ethernet to the router, the router doesn't connect to the internet either.
Here are photos of my ONT for more info (note: none of the lights are blinking).
Thanks!
