Credit score dropped due to a Verizon charge

I cannot believe what Verizon has put me through this last month.  I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 10 years and have consistently paid my bills on-time.  I received an update on my credit score two weeks ago telling me that my score has dropped 150 points due to a Verizon charge!  I have logged into my Verizon account and found that my account has been paid on-time every month.  My credit is ruined and I now face the loss of a job I am supposed to start in January of next year.  The charge was related to a Fios bill from an apartment I moved out of in 2019.  When I log in to my Verizon account, this is not shown anywhere.  I have called Verizon's credit department and they told me billing has to reverse the charges in order to remove the mark from my credit score.  I have called the billing department and they tell me they can't do anything and I have to speak with the credit department.  I have been a loyal and on-time paying customer for over 10 years and now I face the loss of a job because nobody on the Verizon department is willing to work with me on a solution.  Both departments just put their hands up and say there's nothing they can do.  Their best advice is just to pay the bill and then wait seven years for the mark to be removed from my score.  This is beyond unfair.  I have spent over 8 hours on the phone with various agents in every department and nobody will help, they just keep passing me to another agent.  How can Verizon do this to people?  Do they not understand that credit scores have a serious impact on peoples' abilities to get jobs, get homes, get necessary loans to live their lives.  I can't believe they are doing this to a customer who they can see has been a good customer for so long.  Shame on you Verizon!!!  Treat your customers better.  I am trying to find any solution possible to remedy this situation but nobody at Verizon will consider my side of the story.  Why even have customer service if you refuse to try to help your customers?  I have paid easily $20k to Verizon as a customer and then they want to wreck my financial life and give me no possible way out.  Beyond infuriating!!!!
