DSL SPEEDS, NOT GETTING WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO GET

Hello, i'm Brennan. I am 15 years old and am really upset with verizion. For me being a "Gamer" you need at least some fast internet speeds am I right? Well me and my mom have had this plan DSL plan for about 5 years I'm guesing? Well apaerently we're SUPPOSED to be getting "7 Mbps". Wile this whole time I've only gotted a dwindeling .7 Mbps (700 Kbps) I have noticed this over time and have contacted verizion multible times(With permission). All they tell me is the same thing over and over again. "May i have the model number on your router sir?" "Go to speedtest.net and click test" Then my speeds will come in at A WHOPPING 6.50 Mbps!!!!!! It is Fasle Hope for a few seconds in my mind. I would then go and downlond a game that I wanted,  oh wait.... its just downloading at at minor speed of .7 mbps... I've learned that "speedtest.net" will lie about your speeds. you have tot go into the settings and change it to megabytes for the REAL speed. And the customer support will usually say "If you are not getting these speeds, it must be something wrong with the computer" which is a load of junk. Same speeds for 5 computers I've tested. 3 laptops and 2 desktops. all the same speed. And that infuriates me. Bottom line is that I am despreatly trying to make this beta internet speed faster. Somebody, Anybody? HELP ME!!! 😞

You are using two different conversion rates. The .7 MBps while you are downloading the file equates to 5.6 Mbps.
