Before the summer started I was getting 3.1 Mbps with my DSL connection. In early July it dropped to 2.5 and now it is 2.1. How do I get it restored / reset to 3.1? I have no static on the landline. I am 1.95 miles from the switching center. Can I get some support help?

Hi bowlerguy,
The forums are peer-to-peer. You may contact Verizon Support at 1-800-VERIZON.

Ask Verizon support to disable the ASSIA Optimizer on your line. It might take a long time to get them to do that, but it's possible and tends to fix issues like this. Also, have them ensure your signals look to be good. If there are a high number of errors reported by your modem, or if the noise margins are low, that should be fixed.
