Data Usage - Rhode Island - Converting Customer

Hey there; I'm a prospective customer.  I live in Southern Rhode Island; we have bans on charging extra for data usage limits in my state. I'm currently with Cox; while they claim they don't throttle. Every month like clockwork when I hit 1650gb used my internet becomes absolute trash, nose diving from 400mb active download speed to 1mb or less. It impedes my recreational activities (the reason I use so much data) and also impacts my work. (I work 3 different remote jobs). The worst part being - upon contacting them there is literally no way for me to pay them to just uncap / stop the throttling, I can't increase my data usage limit, absolutely no route to fix this other than 'use the internet less'.

I keep seeing good reviews of Verizon on various forums; my last experience with Verizon home internet was 8 years ago. It was a horrendous experience - the connection would completely dip and disconnect during late hours. I'd have random periods of just outright disconnection. None of this was my equipment; it could have been my location as I lived very far into very dense woods, but I'm not a network / hardware nerd and don't know for certain. Its actually what prompted me to switch to Cox. For awhile cox was fine, but the consistent end of month internet speed coming to a grinding halt is getting very irksome.

I'm wondering if any one can attest for using approximately 2tb monthly with fios, and if they experience any slow downs / throttling. I desperately want to just be able to use my internet and have consistent connection; I totally understand if Fridays at 7pm are slightly slower than Mondays at 2:30pm. I just want to not nose dive into less than 1mb/s like we're not living in the year 2024.

Thanks for any advice, personal experience, testimonies you can provide. I appreciate it.
