E3200 not seen when logging into CR1000B GUI

Greetings All,
My installation is fairly recent.
I have a CR1000B router and a E3200 extender.
Upon initial installation, when logging into the router GUI, in the upper left hand corner there was a drop down where I could select the router or the extender. There was an issue and the VZ not so technical support person had me reset the router. That did not fix the issue, but the issue was resolved no thanks to VZ not so technical support.
After I was back online I noticed the following:
- when logging into the router via a web browser, the drop down did not include the extender
- the extender is broadcasting the factory default SSID
- when logging directly into the extender via a web browser I am unable to make any modifications, all are greyed out
Current configuration:
- router is on the 1st floor
- extender is in the basement
- VMS is connected to the extender
- all lights indicate that the extender is functioning properly
- able to ping both router and extender from cable connected desktop
- router and extender is connected via coax
- unable to connect to the extender via wi-fi even though I am using the advertised SSID and password
I tried multiple browsers on 2 different laptops but still the same results .

The router and extender have been rebooted multiple time and the issue still exists.
any suggestion would be appreciated.

Cheers

Just a clarification.

Everything was working well from time of installation  until there was an issue with no connection to the internet from all devices.

That is when I got in touch with VZ support and they had me do a factory reset of the router.

The fix for the no connection issue was at the ONT.

After everything came back up is when I noticed the inability to see the extender from the router and the other issues that I shared below
