Fios keeps disconnecting

Starting today at around 530 pm est or so, my Fios router lost connection to the Internet. I tried disconnecting it which did not work, but going through the my Verizon app to fix the issue automatically fixed it for about 20 minutes before it would lose connection again. I attempted to do the same thing with no success. I unplugged the router for 30 seconds and plugged it back in and attempted to auto fix it through the app again. It was fixed again but lost connection again about 20 minutes later. 

I plan to call Verizon tomorrow if the issue persists but would be grateful if anyone has some insight on this issue before then.
