Fios settings for all devices

In MyVerizon access is given to all devices which use Fios.

This is done by selecting INTERNET - MANAGE YOUR HOME NETWORK PROTECTION.

Then select the box labeled DEVICES.

This brings up a list of all devices at the home location which use Fios and indicates whether or not each one is currently connected.

For each device there is a toggle switch labeled BLOCK/ALLOW.

What does this switch do?  It is currently in the BLOCK position but all devices are working.

Thank you for any answers.

Home Network Protection feature, in my opinion, has delicacies in its application.

I would rely on the MAC address filtering feature of the router firewall to block unwanted devices from accessing the Internet. This, however, is not a valid protection against devices that shuffles its MAC address, such as all iOS devices these days.
