Hello all,
I have had an old G1100 that I would like to upgrade. It is connected to my ONT (I-211M-L) via coax (MoCA).
I bought a new CR1000A online. I disconnected the G1100 and hooked up my CR1000A (power and coax).
The CR1000A boots and wifi turns on. However, it does not not connect over MoCA to the ONT.
The MoCA light on the ONT does not turn on. When I log into the CR1000A webserver, it shows the coax status as "disconnected", even though it is enabled and connected through a working connection.
As a sanity check, I hooked up the old G1100 again. Working fine.
Can anyone explain why the new CR1000A does not connect over MoCA to my ONT over a known, working connection?
I did not buy the CR1000A from Verizon; is there some kind of configuration or token which prohibits me from changing my primary internet router on my own?
Thanks.

Called Verizon and confirmed my suspicions that the CR1000A coax port is for LAN only, not WAN.
Had the ONT switched from coax to ethernet, connected via patch cord to WAN, and everything is working now.
Hope this info helps someone.
Cheers.
