Having some weird issues with the new router and extender -
COAX network drops out -
- No on demand /network at set top boxes
- Lose LAN/WAN light at COAX connection at Router and Extender
- In router settings, COAX connections show "Cable Disconnected" on both WAN and LAN
- Router shows no COAX connections
Ethernet: | 1 |
5 GHz Wi-Fi: | 13 |
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: | 21 |
Coax: | 0 |
Reboots of router and extender don't help.
Tech support gave it a go with Router and ONT reboots but did not solve.
Read about resetting COAX WAN (disable/enable) and that will get it back up - That worked BUT but still shows COAX cable disconnected although it does show 4 COAX connections up and everything works for a day or so.
Seems like a firmware update is needed for this issue. Anyone else experiencing or know of a solid fix?

UPDATE: Unplugged coax from Extender and all is well. Extender and router (I guess) are close enough to connect and work wirelessly with good performance.

You are using the third band feature by doing wireless backhaul. Coax showing disconnected is a typical problem. Any other things to help?

Nothing helping long term - COAX network drops in and out when extender plugged in.

Make sure you are using MoCA-compatible coax splitters if you are using one. Otherwise, there isn't too much to troubleshoot besides contacting technical support to replace the E3200.

Actually using a Drop with no splitter at all, but thanks. COAX is connected and the Extender has stayed on line for about 2 days with varying feedback (Front light sometimes flashing yellow, rear LAN light changes from on off) but I've not messed with COAX settings. Despite the router showing all disconnected, system appears to be working OK.

Do you have any other coax connections that may interfere the MoCA from G3100? Can you connect E3200 with G3100 directly with a short coax cable? See if that works consistently.
